The 5-step shopping strategy
Scout before you go
Check social media and fan groups to find out what new items have arrived. Collectors often share new pieces in real-time.
Prioritize your targets
List your 3-5 priority items before entering. There are many shops and time flies quickly. Without a list, you often leave without the items you really wanted.
Make a second pass
Stock is replenished throughout the day. A shop that was empty in the morning might have new items in the afternoon. Plan a second round in key shops.
Plan your budget
Exclusive Disneyland Paris items are priced according to their rarity. Set aside a dedicated budget so you don't hesitate when you find the item you're looking for.
Disney Culture
Pin trading: the art of exchange
Pin trading is a Disney tradition born in the United States in the 90s. At Disneyland Paris, it is very much alive β and is one of the most accessible ways to collect exclusives.
The principle: cast members (park employees) wear lanyards with pins. You can exchange two of yours for two of theirs β no money, just an exchange. It's a unique way to get pins that are never sold in shops.
To participate, you just need official Disney pins (no copies). Limited edition, numbered, or special event pins are particularly sought after in exchanges.
Pin trading events are regularly organized at the park β it's an opportunity to meet other collectors and find rare pieces.
Buy official Disney pins
In shops at the park or via Once Upon Magic. Pins must be official β copies are not accepted for exchange.
Spot cast members' lanyards
Employees wearing a pin lanyard are available for exchange. Approach them politely and choose a pin from their lanyard.
Propose a 1-for-1 exchange
Hold out your pin and point to the one you're interested in. Each person can make up to 2 exchanges per cast member per day.
Participate in trading events
Collector gatherings are held regularly. This is the ideal place to find limited editions and meet the community.
Calendar
The best times for collectors
Spring
New spring collections, season launch. Ideal for the year's first exclusives. Still moderate attendance on weekdays.
Summer
Lots of people but also lots of new items. Summer items (Stitch, tropical universes) are often highlighted. Prioritize opening hours.
Autumn / Halloween
The richest season for collectors. Limited edition Halloween items are among the most sought after of the year. Some pieces sell out in a few days.
Winter / Christmas
Christmas collections are highly anticipated β baubles, ornaments, exclusive clothing. Some items are only available during the season and never return.

Practical Questions
What we are asked most often
Do shops open before attractions?
Most shops open at the same time as the park. Some, particularly on Main Street, may open a few minutes earlier. Shops in Disney Village (World of Disney) are accessible without a park ticket as soon as the complex opens.
Can I shop without entering the park?
Yes, via Disney Village. World of Disney and other Disney Village shops are freely accessible without a ticket. However, their stock is less exclusive than that of the park's indoor shops.
How do I know if an item is a Disneyland Paris exclusive?
Look for the "Disneyland Paris" or "Disney Parks" logo on the label or packaging. These items are officially distributed only in Disney parks and do not go through traditional distribution channels.
Are prices the same in all park shops?
Yes, prices are uniform in all official Disneyland Paris shops. You will not find the same item cheaper in one shop than another within the complex.
Can shop purchases be delivered to the hotel?
If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can request delivery of your shop purchases directly to your hotel's reception at the end of the day β convenient so you don't have to carry your bags all day.
How to order an item via Once Upon Magic?
Browse our shop, add the item to your cart and place your order. We will pick up the item on our next visit to the park and ship it to you. If you are looking for an item that you cannot find on the site, contact us directly.
