The Origin
Pandora: from Copenhagen to the world's wrist
Founded in 1982 in Copenhagen by Per Enevoldsen and his wife Winnie, Pandora started as a simple jewelry importer. In less than forty years, it has become one of the best-selling jewelry brands in the world.
The Pandora revolution arrived in 2000 with the launch of its signature concept: the customizable charm bracelet. The idea is simple and powerful — a sterling silver bracelet on which charms, chosen one by one, are slipped to tell one's own story. This concept changed mainstream jewelry forever.
Each charm is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver, 14k gold, or plated metal, often adorned with enamels, synthetic stones, or crystals. The finish is always meticulous — these are jewels designed to last, to be passed down, to collect.
Today, Pandora is present in over 100 countries, has tens of millions of customers worldwide, and collaborates with the world's largest cultural franchises — including Disney, since 2014.

How Pandora became Disney's official jeweler
In 2014, two giants — one in jewelry, the other in entertainment — partnered to create something unique: jewelry that transforms your favorite characters into wearable memories for life.
The logic is obvious: Pandora sells the idea of telling one's own story through charms — and Disney is, par excellence, the universe of stories. The combination of the two produced something neither could achieve alone.
From the very first collections, the reception was enthusiastic. Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Cinderella, Ariel, Beauty and the Beast — iconic characters became sterling silver charms, hand-enameled, set with crystals. Disney fans found a new way to wear their love for the park.
The collaboration quickly intensified. Pandora developed exclusive Disney Parks charms, only available in park stores — Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort. These pieces, unavailable in regular stores, became collector's items in their own right.
