Disneyland Paris prepares to host the Disney Lorcana European Championship
From September 11 to 13, 2026, the best European Illumineers and fans of the trading card game will gather at Disney Newport Bay Club and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel for three days of competition, activities, and collectible rewards.
The countdown has begun. In a few days, Disneyland Paris will host the 2026 Disney Lorcana TCG European Championship, one of the major events of the competitive season organized by Ravensburger. The event is officially scheduled from September 11 to 13, 2026, at two of the destination's hotels: the Disney Newport Bay Club and the Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.
Beyond the main tournament, the weekend promises to be equally exciting for collectors and visitors: a Last Chance Qualifier, side events, meet-and-greets with artists and developers, Collection Quests, a public Lorecast, a Ravensburger shop, and exclusive rewards are all on the announced program.
Two Disneyland Paris hotels at the heart of the event
Ravensburger confirms that the European Championship will take place at the Disney Newport Bay Club and the Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. A ticket for the Disney Parks is not required to access the event areas located within the hotels.
However, park tickets can be added via the event registration process. This is particularly interesting this year, as the Disney Lorcana Collection Quest at Disneyland Paris runs from September 4 to 20, 2026, allowing fans attending the championship to simultaneously enjoy another Lorcana experience at the destination.
Announced pricing
When sales opened, Ravensburger announced a price of €110 for the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) and €50 for an Attendee ticket. Children 12 and under can enter for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult (limit of one child per adult), unless they wish to participate in an activity requiring paid registration themselves.
Please note: these amounts correspond to the officially announced rates. Current ticket availability may change and should be verified on the organizer's ticketing site.
A goodie bag designed for collectors too
Each ticket includes a Disney Lorcana TCG Goodie Bag. Ravensburger notably announced a badge and lanyard, 160 tickets for the Prize Wall, a tote bag, a non-foil Stand Out promotional card, and two booster packs of Set 13: Attack of the Vine.
The Prize Wall is expected to feature several non-foil promotional cards, playmats, an uncut Rare sheet, accessories, and various Disney Lorcana products. For enthusiasts primarily following new releases and special cards, our complete Disney Lorcana guide also covers the basics of playing, collecting, and trading.
A Last Chance Qualifier capable of hosting 1,024 players
The Last Chance Qualifier is the final gateway to the Championship. It is announced in a Core Constructed format, with sets 9 through 13 allowed, and can accommodate up to 1,024 players divided into two groups of 512.
The format is single-elimination Best-of-Three. The top eight players from each group earn their spot in the Main Event, for a total of 16 additional qualifiers.
200 players for the European Championship
The European Main Event will bring together 200 players: 160 qualified via Disney Lorcana Challenges, 24 via CCQs, and 16 from the Last Chance Qualifier.
On Saturday, nine rounds of Best-of-Three Swiss are scheduled, after which the top 16 players advance to the second day. On Sunday, the tournament shifts to single-elimination Best-of-Five. The top eight European players will earn an invitation to the Season 2 World Championship.
A serialized gold Mickey Mouse card for the Top 8
The rewards section is expected to particularly grab the attention of collectors. Every Main Event participant will receive a foil Stand Out promo card, with various exclusive rewards planned based on final ranking.
The Top 8 will notably receive a serialized gold Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor, in addition to their invitation to the World Championship. The Top 4 will also receive an uncut foil Super Rare card sheet, while the two finalists will obtain a complete foil set accompanied by Enchanted and Epic cards. The champion will receive, among other things, an uncut foil Enchanted sheet and the trophy.
This increase in exclusive competitive items occurs during a particularly prolific time for the TCG. The announcements made at D23 also introduced several upcoming developments, which we have summarized in our article Disney Lorcana D23 2026: all the announcements.
Not just a tournament: meet-and-greets, side events, and Lorecast
Ravensburger plans side events throughout the three days, as well as meet-and-greets with Disney characters, Disney Lorcana artists, and game developers. Tickets also provide access to Collection Quests, a live in-person Lorecast, and a Ravensburger retail area.
A viewing area to follow the video feed of much of the competition is also announced. Physical access to matches will depend on the venue's setup and available space.
A particularly busy weekend for Lorcana fans
The calendar is ideal for collectors: the European Championship takes place right in the middle of the Collection Quest organized at Disneyland Paris. Visitors present between September 11 and 13 will thus be able to combine the major competitive event with the experiences offered at the destination, subject to the access conditions specific to each activity.
